Content

This subfile highlights key archaeological and historical sites in Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Marocco, and Syria from the years 1976 to 1999, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of these regions.

Images of Egypt include the Karnak Temple complex, showcasing Avenue of Sphinxes and the Temple of Luxor with its detailed paintings and obelisks. The Ramesseum features remnants of mudbrick structures, historical inscriptions and the Great Court with pylon, while Abu Simbel reveals details of reliefs. The Colossi of Memnon and the pyramids of Giza are seen with tourists.

From Jordan, there are images of notable sites such as the ancient city of Petra feature the treasury and cliff tombs.

Images of Syria include the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, the archaeological site of Palmyr, the Roman Theatre at Bosra, and other ancient architecture of Qalb Loze and Qala'at Samaan.
