This subfile highlights the essential role that signage and models play in interpreting and preserving historical sites worldwide. Signs serve various functions, from providing directions and safety warnings to educating visitors about the significance of the locations. For instance, informative signs at Peterborough Petroglyphs in Canada (1994) and Palenque in Mexico (1994) help contextualize cultural heritage. Additionally, warning signs at sites like Medinet Habu in Egypt (1987) and the Great Wall of China (1992) promote visitor safety.

Models also contribute significantly, offering visual representations of archaeological sites, such as the model of the Trojan Horse at Troy (1983) and reconstruction drawings at Ephesus (1983), in Turkey. Walkways enhance the visitor experience, guiding them through sites like Cliff Palace in Mesa Verde, USA (1996) and Walnut Canyon in Arizona, USA (1996). Together, these elements enrich the understanding of cultural heritage, facilitating access and engagement while fostering respect for historical preservation. By integrating signs, models, and walkways, these sites create meaningful connections between the past and present for visitors around the globe.
