The subfiles contain images of several efforts undertaken to restore and preserve historical sites around the world with a focus on reconstruction and relocation of heritage objects.

Key examples include the Memphis statue, which was re-erected in 1987, and significant restoration work at the House of Theseus in Paphos, focusing on anastylosis techniques. The Temple of Apollo in Kourion also showcases early reconstruction efforts prior to the 1980s. There are also examples from Cuzco, Palatine Gardens and Horti Farnesiani showcasing multiple phases of use; repurposing of spaces such as the Roman vault that was used as hay storage and the crypt of St Martin-in-the-Fields that was transformed into a café; and plaques from locations such as Spoleto and Pompeii which provide insights into the methods of restorations employed. There are also images showcasing application of anastylosis such the ones in Jerash in Jordan, Pella in Macedonia, and Al Balid in Oman.
