The subfiles feature images documenting archaeological sites, with a particular focus on protective roofing structures that safeguard cultural heritage. These images capture various conservation challenges, including earthquake damage, moisture issues, and structural restoration efforts, such as cranes at work, column reconstructions, and site maintenance. A significant portion is dedicated to sites in Cyprus, especially Paphos, where it details the Dionysos mosaic, roofing over baths, the Hotel Dionysos reception area, and participants from the 6th Conference of the International Committee for the Conservation of Mosaics (ICCM) in 1996 during their visit to Paphos.
Additional highlights include the Nymphaeum of Curium, Cyprus, roof structures in Kalavasos-Tenta, Cyprus, Bignor Roman Villa in the UK, restored roof, faun reconstruction, and earthquake damage in Pompeii. There are also materials related to Fishbourne Roman Palace, various mosaics, and educational areas. Images from renowned sites such as Piazza Armerina and Abu Simbel depict restoration efforts, including earthquake-damaged frescoes, condensation under protective glass, and restorations of stucco and exposed plaster. Further materials cover international locations like the Temple of Venus in Rome, Istanbul’s Blue Mosque, Machu Picchu, the Erechtheion and Propylaea in Athens, Petroglyphs Provincial Park in Canada, and reconstructions at Lindos and Palmyra.
The subfile also contains cultural heritage management visuals, such as process charts, visitor data, and newspaper clippings, including a cartoon on tourism impacts on cultural sites, some images of book pages and publications, including site plans and diagrams.
