Notes: Annex to a letter, dated 31/7/1957, from Luther Evans, UNESCO Director-General, addressed to ministries of UNESCO Member States to encourage them to become members of the Centre. The letter contains the resolution of the UNESCO IX General Conference (November-December 1956) regarding the creation of a Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property, and has two annexes: 1) the agreement between UNESCO and the Government of the Italian Republic; 2) the statutes of the Centre.
