Apart from the Board a meeting was also organised with the Minister of Sports, Culture and Tourism of Benin Hon M. Oswald Homeky. The meeting took place on the 24 July. A visit was also made to the village of Ganvie to view and discuss some of the plans to be implemented by the government of Benin on the site.
