On the invitation of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Gamini Wijesuriya undertook a mission to Bangladesh (Dhaka) to help develop a national workshop on Conservation of brick and brick work (to be held in December), and also to help develop a management plan for the World Heritage Site of Pharpur vihara.
