{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/presentation/2/context.json","@id":"https://archives.iccrom.org/iiif/manifest/en/91","@type":"sc:Manifest","label":"Committees","rendering":{"@id":"https://archives.iccrom.org/oggetti/91-committees","format":"text/html","label":"Full record view"},"metadata":[{"label":"Genre - Form","value":"Series"},{"label":"Unique identifier","value":"it-iccrom-ca_objects-89"},{"label":"Card creation","value":"Saggioro||04/08/2021 06:45:24pm"},{"label":"Content","value":"This series is composed of records related to the work of former Council Committees (1977-2001):<br />\r\n- Finance and Programme Committee (FPC1 - FPC48), 1977-2000;<br />\r\n- Standards and Training Committee (STC1- STC16), 1978-1990;<br />\r\n- Academic Advisory Board (AAB1 &ndash; AAB11) and Academic Advisory Committee (AAC12 &ndash; AAC20), 1990-2000;<br />\r\n- Advisory Committee (AC1 &ndash; AC3), 2000-2001.<br />\r\n<br />\r\nWhen establishing a Committee, the Council determines its composition, terms of reference and, to the extent possible, the duration of its mandate.<br />\r\n<br />\r\nIn the case of the Finance and Programme Committee (FPC), its specific duties were as follows:&nbsp;<br />\r\n- Provide oversight, in between sessions of Council, of the financial operations of ICCROM especially with respect to adherence to the budget and concurrence with the financial regulations and policies;&nbsp;<br />\r\n- Provide oversight, in between sessions of Council, of the adherence to and execution of the programme of activities as approved by the General Assembly;<br />\r\n- Provide guidance and directions to Director and Staff in the timely preparation of a proposal for a sound programme of activities for the next biennium, as well as an adequate and responsible budget for the same period; and<br />\r\n- Present a draft of the Programme and budget for the next biennium to the Council for its discussions and approval.<br />\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<p style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt\">The Standards and Training Committee (STC) had an academic scope, which focused on encouraging an increase in the opportunities for training of young and mid-career conservators, as well as ensuring high standards in teaching methods and course content (including didactic materials) for the conservation profession.&nbsp;<br />\r\n<br />\r\nThe Academic Advisory Board (AAB) and Academic Advisory Committee (AAC) maintained the Standards and Training Committee scope, but&nbsp;focused on making&nbsp;investigations, reviewing and advising&nbsp;the Council on the following:&nbsp;<br />\r\n- Academic priorities for ICCROM programmes;<br />\r\n- Academic standards relating to any of ICCROM&#39;s activities;<br />\r\n- Academic resources, including sources of expertise, required by ICCROM;<br />\r\n- ICCROM&#39;s methods for monitoring worldwide needs in respect to its statutory functions;<br />\r\n- ICCROM co-operation with other bodies including individual institutions, national and international agencies and committees; and<br />\r\n- Appropriateness and effectiveness of the outcomes of ICCROM programmes with regard to the above-mentioned matters.&nbsp;<br />\r\n<br />\r\nIn 2000 the Council decided to merge the Finance and Programme Committee (FPC) and the Advisory Academic Committee (AAC)&nbsp;to create a standing Advisory Committee.&nbsp;The functions of this Committee were similar to the ones attributed to the two previous Committees:<br />\r\n- Explore and identify the new trends in the area of the conservation of cultural heritage worldwide, in order to recommend their being considered in ICCCROM&rsquo;s programme of activities;&nbsp;<br />\r\n- Examine the proposals made by the Director-General concerning the programme of activities and the budget and to submit these to the Council along with its comments;<br />\r\n- Study, elaborate, examine, follow and evaluate ICCROM&rsquo;s programmes of activities;&nbsp;<br />\r\n- Monitor the managing of finances and to make sure that the Financial Regulations are applied; and<br />\r\n- Give academic, scientific and professional advice to the Council.&nbsp;<br />\r\n&nbsp;</p>\r\n"},{"label":"Consultability","value":"Records of this series are available for consultation when 20 years have passed from their creation date, and no restrictions are applied to them.
