The subfile contains images related to rock art and petroglyph sites, including its surrounding areas. There are subjects related to vandalism (e.g. bullet holes), protective measures (e.g. grille walls, enclosures), landscapes, signages, visitors, providing an overview of the preservation challenges faced by these sites. This subfile includes a considerable selection of images taken in Angono, Rizal in Philippines showcasing details of the petroglyphs and the archaeological site, surrounding areas, landscapes, and a construction site. There is also a significant number of images of Côa Valley, Portugal, that highlights landscape images, view of village houses, town buildings, visitor interactions, and a filming crew. The subfile also includes visitor statistics for six caves in France, conservation signage for projects like the Chumash and Yokut initiative in California, missing and stolen rocks in Gião, Portugal and slide that captures a moment when water was poured over a rock art by an unofficial guide.
